How we decide what fits
- Every fact comes from an official source we have read, with the date it was checked.
- If we couldn’t check something, we say so. “Not verified” doesn’t mean “no”, and a beach doesn’t drop down the list because of it.
- We don’t give beaches a score: an unspoilt cove and a city beach can’t be measured with the same ruler. We tell you how well each one fits what you’re asking for.
- “Good for families” means usually gentle waves, lifeguards and easy access, all three.
- Facilities, dog rules and water quality change from one season to the next, so they come with the date they were checked. Before you go, confirm with the town hall.
