Who to book with

TripPlan doesn't sell anything. These do, and here is what each one is for.

  • Logitravel

Spanish travel agency: hotels, flight + hotel, city breaks, tours and cruises.

When you'd rather book everything in one place, especially flight + hotel, which is sometimes cheaper than booking separately. The link takes you to its home page and you search there; the site is aimed mainly at travellers from Spain.

  • Compensair

They claim flight-delay, cancellation and overbooking compensation on your behalf.

When you already know you are owed money and would rather not fight the airline yourself. They keep a percentage of whatever they recover; if they recover nothing, you pay nothing.

  • Auto Europe

Car rental comparison, with the insurance and mileage terms up front.

When the trip is around an island, the countryside or the mountains. In a city with a metro it isn't worth it: TripPlan only suggests it inside the dossier when the trip really is done by car.

  • KKday

Tickets, day trips and guided activities.

Above all for what sells out or needs a time slot: busy museums, dated tickets, day trips. Their catalogue is stronger in Asia than in Europe.

What TripPlan gets out of this

A commission if you book from here, at no extra cost to you. It's what keeps the planner free and account-free.

What doesn't change is the advice. No provider pays to appear in a dossier, or to come before another. The budget, the seasons and the areas to sleep in are worked out by our own engine with its own data, and would come out the same with no partner behind them.
